As well as Wedding Photography, I also provide family lifestyle photography services. This is natural photography that documents the family or kids just being themselves and doing the activities that they do in real locations. I primarily provide this service for families, children and teens as they grow and develop. Please have a look at some of the feedback that people have left to see if I sound like the right family photographer for you.
My style for lifestyle photography is more hands-on than for weddings especially when photographing children. I like to get the child involved in an activity that he or she enjoys doing and be guided by that. Sometimes this may involve a walk in the park with the dog, a trip to the zoo or exploring the garden. At other times it may just be sitting on the floor playing with some favourite toys. I may suggest different ideas of activities, but it is important that the shoot is lead by the child. If children are happy and entertained, then magic moments happen and great images are taken.
My family photo shoots can consist of up to six people (if you require more, contact me to discuss). The usual is for parents and their children but it can include grandparents, aunties and uncles and cousins. Teens are sometimes awkward in these situations, but I am willing to photograph them separately in their own mini-shoot if they desire.
I can also give teens a totally separate portrait shoot. My teens photo sessions are designed with 13-18 year olds in mind. At this age they tend to be less enthused about traditional family photo shoots so I like to give them a more upbeat, fashion orientated shoot. Teens love to get dressed up in their favourite new outfit and I like to build on this, often using urban or rural backdrops. As with children, I let the teens guide the shoot. I try to find out what they enjoy doing and their personalities, so I may capture images that are true to them. Images that they would be proud to show off on Facebook and to their friends.

For up to 6 people. Includes photo shoot in a location of your choice + three 8"x12" prints OR three high resolution files. The shoot may be to celebrate the whole family, just the children/teens or you as a couple. Usually takes one to two hours but there is no time limit on this. The important thing is to capture natural photographs that you will cherish for years to come.
All images will be edited to a high standard in a mixture of colour and black and white. I will contact you when the editing is complete to give you the link where you may view your images, select your three prints and order any further prints.
