To Treasure Forever

Lovely to Meet You!

If you haven't already, do have a look through my portfolio via the link above.  In a couple of minutes you'll see examples of what my wedding photography is all about:

People:  Good, natural photography is about capturing a person's essence, their character and their relationship with others...

Emotion:  Weddings have the full range of these...  From tears to laughter, excitement to nervous anticipation...  I try to capture it all...

Moments:  Everything that happens from preparations to first dance and beyond.  All lovingly caught to remember forever...

Atmosphere:  How everything and everyone was.  Something that you can't quite put your finger on but a good photograph can capture to evoke memories for years to come...

Fun:  So much of my photography is taken with an intended sense of fun.  Look through my galleries and you'll see all sorts of playful moments throughout...

Good photography is all about creating memories - Memories of a time and place to cherish down the years...

Capturing the Essence of Your Day

Wedding Photographer in Cardiff & London | Guy Milnes Photography Cardiff

Hi, I’m Guy and I’m a wedding photographer based near Cardiff in South Wales…  Caerphilly to be precise!

I photograph wedding days from the guests’ perspective…

I love the quirkiness of the photo above.  If I’d asked that couple to do that, it wouldn’t have looked the same.  This is the kind of wedding photography that can’t be staged – it just happens and it’s my job to be there when it does. See my Wedding Day Portfolio pages for many more examples of my work.

My style is reportage wedding photography which means I shoot in a documentary style and will not intrude or take over your special day.  In fact many couples report that after a while they forgot I was even there but were overjoyed to see that I had captured all the action on viewing their photographs afterwards.   When a bride rings me gushing about having just seen my images of her day for the first time, it fills me with a deep feeling of warmth and satisfaction that cannot be beaten.  I have photographed weddings for about ten years now, and remain passionate about telling the story of the day from start to finish…

Choosing your wedding photographer will be one of the most important decisions you’ll make regarding your day, so it’s important to get it right. This is definitely one area where you’ll get what you pay for, so be sure to do your research. Choose a wedding photographer in Cardiff whose style you like and who resonates well with you. If having your day professionally documented is important to you, I strongly feel that budget should be secondary to this. Cardiff is a beautiful city with lots of wonderful wedding venues to choose from and gorgeous backdrops that will compliment your wedding day.  From the obvious venues such as Cardiff Register Office to the more elaborate (Cardiff Castle), there is a wedding venue to suit every taste and budget.  There are also numerous parks and open areas in Cardiff, perfect for your wedding day portrait shoot – the first time you’ll be photographed together as a married couple.  So choose your wedding photographer in Cardiff very carefully.  Your photographs are the one thing from the most important day of your lives that will be with you forever…

I also have a short day wedding photography plan to cater for those needing coverage of between 2 and 5 hours. A lot of couples having a register office ceremony with, perhaps, a small meal afterwards may book me for just two or three hours, and I’m happy to help them out.

I now cover wedding mainly in Cardiff, Bristol and South Wales – places such as Newport, Swansea, Pontypridd, Abergavenny, Penarth, Barry, Port Talbot and Neath.  I do also still take weddings in London, Hertfordshire and the south-east.

Here’s a page you might find useful that includes some of my favourite wedding resources and venues…
