Choosing and Using Your Wedding Photographer – A Guide to Help You Every Step of the Way
Choosing the right wedding photographer can be one of the most stressful decisions in planning your day. Before their wedding, most people won’t have hired a photographer and the sheer choice and varied styles will be mind boggling. Every photographer will work in a different way and bring their individual dynamics to proceedings. Some you’ll love right from the beginning and others won’t resonate so much. I feel that the ratio should be around 50% photography and 50% personalities.
It’s all very well liking the numerous images on their hi-pro site but if there’s a clash of personalities or you’re just not keen on them as a person, it’ll potentially spoil your day and could even show in the finished photographs.
Then when you’ve chosen someone, there’s the day itself to negotiate. My wedding photography guide is provided in several easy to follow chapters. It takes you through the key stages of the process, both from your own and your photographer’s point of view.
From choosing your perfect photographer to the day itself with the preparations through to the first dance. Packed full of tips, ideas and advice on things that may not have otherwise occurred to you (such as ideal light and how best to deal with venue rules on photography…)
As well as textual information, I include a plethora of photographs to illustrate various points. Hopefully, at the end, you should have a clearer idea of how to begin and negotiate through the process of photographing the most important day of your lives documented to look back on for years to come…
